White-crowned snake

This snake is not considered dangerous to humans although the toxicity of their bite will have a different reaction on each individual, first aid is always recommended. 

Description

Body moderate. Head is not noticeably distinct from neck. Colour is charcoal grey to black with a broad white band curving across nape. Mid body scales are in 15 rows.

habitat

Nocturnal. Lives in rainforests and woodland.

Diet

Feeds on lizards.

Distribution

Qld, from Kirrima south along coast to just south of Grafton, NSW and extends as far west as Glenmorgan, Qld.
