Spotted python

This snake is not considered dangerous to humans, however any bite should be treated with first aid. 

Body moderate. Head is narrow and distinct from neck. Colour is fawn to brown with several dark brown blotches. Mid body scales are 35 to 40 rows.

Mostly nocturnal. Lives in brigalow, rainforests, rock outcrops and woodland.

Feeds on lizards, frogs and rodents.

Eastern Qld to north-east NSW.
