About Us
Brisbay snake catchers is a local snake relocation service that promotes the conservation of snakes and other reptiles through professional and prompt service that comes from a passion for conversation and respect to our native wildlife.
We aim to also be an educational institution promoting the importance these misunderstood creatures play in our ecosystem by maintaining rats and mice in low numbers as well as naturally predating on other species and contributing to a healthy environment.
Hernan Garcia-Prieto
From a very young age growing up in Brisbane in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s and later in El Salvador, Central America, I developed a passion for wildlife, as a young boy I would catch all
sorts of lizards and the occasional snake. I grew up having a Dad who was a Veterinarian, so I would help him rehabilitate injured and sick animals in his Vet clinic.
When I returned to Australia in 2012 I went on to Study Ecology at QUT and graduated with an Ecology major and Biodiversity minor.
I have volunteered for Australia Zoo and the RSCPA were I also gained a great degree of animal hands on experience. I completed a venomous snake catcher course that would enable me to
provide this service to my local community, I aim to serve in educating people about our wonderful and vital wildlife and how we can co-exist with in harmony with our amazing and unique wildlife.
